Seeing Like a Photographer
Build a foundation in what photography is, how photographers see, and how cameras, lenses, sensors, and essential equipment shape an image.
Camera Control & Exposure
Take deliberate control of aperture, shutter speed, ISO, metering, histograms, focus, and RAW capture across different shooting situations.
Understanding Light
Learn to identify and work with the direction, quality, intensity, contrast, and colour of natural light.
Compositions & Visual Design
Build stronger images through visual hierarchy, framing, layers, balance, timing, space, and perspective.
Depth, Perspective & Story
Use depth, perspective, layers, and spatial relationships to build stronger photographs and tell more intentional visual stories.
Editing and Visual Style
Build a disciplined RAW-processing workflow and begin developing consistent tonal, colour, and visual decisions.

Photographer, visual artist, and photography educator
Mohammad Anabtawi is a photographer, visual artist, and photography educator based in Dubai. His work combines technical precision, visual storytelling, and extensive field experience across landscape, travel, architecture, and fine-art photography.
His teaching approach focuses on helping students understand not only how camera settings work, but why particular technical and creative decisions produce stronger photographs.

It is designed for beginners and early-intermediate photographers who want stronger technical control, more consistent visual decisions, and structured feedback on their work.
No. You need a digital camera with manual controls and at least one compatible lens. Expensive professional equipment is not required.
Live instruction is delivered primarily in English, with Arabic explanation available whenever helpful and standard photography terminology retained in English. If the entire cohort is Arabic-speaking, the live course can be delivered in Arabic. All course materials are provided in English.
The six live classes run every Sunday from 11 October through 15 November 2026, from 8:00–10:00 PM UAE time or 7:00–9:00 PM in Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
Yes. Course recordings are planned to remain available to enrolled students for 90 days.
You can review the session recording during the 90-day access period and complete the related assignment. Live attendance is encouraged so you can ask questions and join critiques.
Lightroom or an equivalent application that can process RAW files is required for the editing module and final project.
Each cohort is limited to a maximum of 15 students to keep lessons, questions, and critiques personal.
Assignments are central to the learning experience. Completion expectations for the certificate will be confirmed in the course onboarding information.
The digital certificate is subject to completion requirements. The exact attendance, assignment, and final-project criteria will be shared before the cohort begins.
